Join us on Tuesday, April 16th for the National Day of Action on the Overdose Crisis. Our aim is to become united in understanding the importance of safe spaces for all members of our community, particularly people who use drugs- an often marginalized population who frequently find themselves without a safe and welcoming space. Every member of our community deserves a space where they can feel a sense of belonging and safety, regardless of any challenges they may be facing. We encourage community members, community partners as well as those affected by overdose to come check out our version of this space. More details to come... Make sure to follow this page for updates and information!

Time: 11 am – 11:30am (Opening remarks) 11:30 am – 2:00 pm (open tours of the space)

Speakers include:
• Lisa Toner – Opening Introduction
• What is a safe space and how does it relate to the overdose crisis?
• Terry-Lynn Jenkins – Speaking to her experience and community-based solutions
• Amber Fritz - Closing remarks and invitation to tour the space
• Individuals with lived experience will be available to meet and talk about their experiences
